New Beginnings for Life has created Individual Spotlight of the Month. Here our wonderful Individuals are nominated monthly for going above and beyond and showing acts of kindness to others!

January - Justin Enslow

Justin Enslow has been nominated by Julie Long, South Main House Manager, and Mary Washington, South Main House Assistant Manager, for Individual of the Month! Justin continues to be a great addition to the New Beginnings for Life family! He has lived at South Main House for a while now, and has really settled into his life with New Beginnings. Justin is kind and caring and will always help out his peers when they need him. Justin is adjusting well to having some independence and is very responsible when it comes to his job at Mohegan Sun! Justin works hard at Mohegan Sun and his bosses there always have wonderful things to say. Thanks for being such an awesome person, Justin! Keep up the good work!

February - Ronald Ledoux

Ronald Ledoux has been nominated by Jackie Schupp, Parum Road Manager, for Individual of the Month! Ron continues to live at Parum Road and has been doing well! He works four days a week with "Meals on Wheels" and enjoys it very much! He takes a lot of pride in his work with "Meals on Wheels". Ron is a very kind, loving person who is a pleasure to be around. He is always willing to lend a hand and is well-liked by all of his peers and his staff. Ron tries hard to to sweat the small stuff and strives to make good choices every day! Keep up the good work, Ron!

 

March - John Gumble

John has been nominated by Angela Fournier, Old Hebron Road Manager, for Individual of the Month! John has shown vast improvement when it comes to his independence and making good choices for himself. Even when John makes a mistake, he acknowledges that he's done so and takes the correct steps to fix it. John has been working hard on being a great mental health advocate! He has realized that in addition to advocating for the mental health of others, he needs to advocate for his own mental health, and has been greatly successful in doing so! John is trying hard to reach his goals to become more independent and make healthy life decisions, and he is succeeding, one step at a time! We are so proud of you, John!

April - Ethan Dubiel

Ethan has been nominated by Olivia Blais, Day Program Manager, and Ruzlaini Shaharom, Day Program Assistant Manager, for Individual of the Month! Ethan has been an absolute pleasure to have in Day Program! He works very hard at his job at Mohegan Sun on the Janitorial staff, and Mohegan Sun is very pleased with his hard work. Even on Fridays, his day off from work at Mohegan, Ethan is always looking for ways to help around Day Program and is always looking for more work to keep himself busy. Ethan is a great conversationalist and everyone loves chatting with him. Everyone at Day Program truly loves having Ethan's positive energy around! Ethan, we are so proud of all the work you have accomplished and can't wait to be a part of your accomplishments ahead! Thank you for being so awesome!

May - Wendy Enslow

Wendy Enslow has been nominated by Julie Long, South Main House Manager, and Mary Washington, South Main House Assistant Manager, for Individual of the Month! Wendy has lived at South Main House for a little over a year and is a joyful presence in the house. She is helpful and is happy all of the time. Wendy tries to make others happy all of the time as well! Every morning, she sends out "good morning" texts to important people in her life, just to help them start their day off right! Wendy has made quite a few friends at New Beginnings for Life, and is overall a positive peer for all of her friends! We look forward to all of the great things to come from Wendy! Thank you for being your amazing self, Wendy!!

June - Timothy Stewart

Timothy Stewart has been nominated by Jackie Schupp, Manager of Parum House, and Jim Piccione, Assistant Manager of Parum House, for Individual of the Month! Tim is a valued member of the Parum Road family and he gets along well with his housemates. He is always contributing to the house, creating a positive living environment! Tim is also an outdoor enthusiast, with a great sense of humor that keeps house housemates laughing. He is passionate about nature and loves to spend time outdoors. Thanks for bring your awesome self and bringing fun and friendship to Parum House, Tim!

August - Jack Miner

Jack has worked at Rockland Farm for over a year now, and has shown awesome work ethic and willingness to learn. He enjoys being around the horses and enjoys working with is coworkers at the farm. He always has an interesting fact about Winnie the Pooh, Batman, or Scooby Doo, and his facts always brighten everybody's day! Jack is also a prankster, making his coworkers laugh every day with little pranks. Jack definitely knows how to keep the work day light and friendly, but knows when the work has to get done! Great job, Jack! We are so happy to have you at the farm and happy to have you as part of our New Beginnings family!

September - Michael Evans

Michael is always ready with a laugh or a hug for anyone. He loves living with his friends and enjoys doing things with them every day. Michael continues to do a great job working, delivering the mail during the week. He enjoys being helpful around the house when asked. He is such a great part of our Main House family and a great part of our New Beginnings family! Thank you for always being your amazing self, Mikey!
